In partnership with Goodwood Estates, the CSP has access to funding for school trips to various South Downs National Park sites. With this funding, schools with more than 30% Pupil Premium, can apply for a free farm trip and much-needed support with coach travel (up to £450 per trip, numbers depending).
Bookings can be made up till 31st March 2025.
The website information is here https://www.southdowns.gov.uk/learning-and-youth-volunteering/schools-groups/discover-the-south-downs/ and the Goodwood Estates website is here https://www.goodwood.com/estate/goodwood-education-trust/
For schools with more than 20% of children eligible for means-tested Free School Meals, Goodwood Estates can offer a free trip and support with coach travel too, using their own funding, all year round. They ask that schools use the South Downs offer (from £295) and then they can cover that cost. https://nxts.nationalexpress.com/school-coach-hire/middle-of-the-day/south-downs-national-park
These are for both primary and secondary. Goodwood Estates have a very good reputation for working with schools with children with additional needs as well, and very happy to discuss how they can accommodate differing groups. They’ll do their best to get as many children as possible outside in nature and learning about where their food comes from.
