Yekaterina Goodwin_President’s PhD Scholar in Aeronautics @ Imperial College London.

May 7 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join us for an evening with Katya Goodwin,  a PhD Scholar  studying at the Imperial College London. Katya will be discussing with us her doctoral on Aeronautics.

More about her work can be found on her instagram page:

“My research topic encompasses the energy efficiency of flapping flight, investigated experimentally in the T1 Wind Tunnel with a novel robotics set-up integrating novel strategies in model-free control for flapping kinematic, along with studies into actuating morphology changes.

My experience ranges from technical consulting (primarily medical device development), biomimicry of flapping flight using industrial robotics, and managing development of AI/Hardware prototypes for autonomous ecology surveying nano-drones. I am passionate about the application of bioinspiration within aeronautics, and how this can inform sustainable technology development.”

The talk will be hosted at Eastbourne College on Tuesday 7 May from 6.00pm to 7.00pm. CSP schools have the opportunity to bring up to a maximum of 10 pupils per school, with an accompanying adult.

Please contact Trudie Godfrey tgodfrey@cavendish.e-sussex.sch.uk to confirm your booking by Mon 29 April 2024.
