For 23 years, Cath worked in the Art Department of a local school, which was an absolute privilege, keeping her up to date and informed with the wider world of art, over the years both this and her love of  stitch  have come together to create the pieces she now makes. Now retired, Cath is able to spend even more time exploring and experimenting with cloth, paper, stitch, paint and with as many new techniques as possible.

Over the next two days Cath will be working with pupils from our partnership schools to create textiles based on the theme of the beach/seaside, these will be displayed in a viewing at the Birley Centre on Monday 17 June from 6.00pm.
