Riptide: Observations of Marine Pollution by Young Photographers Exhibition

June 21, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Riptide is the culmination of a six-month STEAM programme (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) led by an alliance of Eastbourne schools with Photoworks and STEM Sussex.

The programme has created new opportunities for art and science teachers to collaborate with photographers and marine ecologists, planning and delivering cross-curricular projects for their students.

The participating schools are Cavendish School, Ratton School, Eastbourne Academy, Eastbourne College, Willingdon Community School and Seaford Head School

The exhibition presents work in a variety of photographic media, reveals the students’ passionate and informed responses to the plastics problem and demonstrates the close links between artistic and scientific enquiry.
